Staże studentów w Antarktyce/Student Internships in Antarctica

W ramach projektu NAWA Partnerstwa Strategiczne pt. International Cooperation for Education on Sustainable Management and Protection of Antarctic Living Marine Resources and Ecosystems – AntarCTic Partnership of UG and INACH ICEPACT” ogłaszamy nabór na staże studenckie w Antarktyce, Wyspa Nelson (Archipelag Szetlandów Południowych). Staże te będą odbywać się w ramach corocznych aktywności naukowych grup badawczych INACH Instituto Antartico Chileno w tym rejonie.
W trakcie staży Studenci nabędą kompetencji z zakresu pracy terenowej w międzynarodowym zespole, pracy w trudnych warunkach polarnych, pracy z gatunkami chronionymi i w obszarze chronionym, zastosowania metod monitoringowych i badawczych w obszarach szczególnie wrażliwych.
Długość stażu: 6-8 tygodni
Okres realizacji stażu: grudzień 2025 – styczeń 2026
Finansowanie: projekt ICEPACT, w ramach programu NAWA Partnerstwo Strategiczne
Termin nadsyłania zgłoszeń: 28.09.2025, niedziela 00:00 (czas Warszawa)
Oferta skierowana jest do studentów studiów licencjackich, magisterskich i szkół doktorskich UG/SEA-EU.
Wymagane dokumenty (w języku angielskim): wykaz ocen ostatniego semestru studiów licencjackich lub magisterskich, list motywacyjny i CV, opinia opiekuna/promotora pracy licencjackiej, magisterskiej, doktorskiej; w ramach rekrutacji będą także brane pod uwagę m.in. czynny udział w działalności wydziałowej/uczelnianej/instytucjonalnej oraz poziom znajomości języka angielskiego.
W pierwszym etapie rekrutacji zostanie wybranych 10 osób, które zaprosimy na rozmowy rekrutacyjne (w formie zdalnej).

As part of the NAWA Strategic Partnerships project International Cooperation for Education on Sustainable Management and Protection of Antarctic Living Marine Resources and Ecosystems – AntarCTic Partnership of UG and INACH (ICEPACT), we announce a call for student internships in Antarctica, Nelson Island (South Shetland Islands). These internships will take place within the framework of the annual scientific activities of INACH – Instituto Antártico Chileno research groups in this region.
During the internships, students will gain competences in fieldwork within an international team, working under challenging polar conditions, working with protected species and within a protected area, and applying monitoring and research methods in particularly sensitive environments.
- Duration of internship: 6–8 weeks
- Internship period: December 2025 – January 2026
- Funding: ICEPACT project, under the NAWA Strategic Partnerships program
- Application deadline: September 28, 2025, Sunday, 00:00 (Warsaw time)
The offer is addressed for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students at UG/SEA-EU.
Required documents (in English): transcript of records from the last semester of bachelor’s or master’s studies, a motivation letter, and a CV; an opinion from the supervisor/promoter of a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral thesis, or from an academic teacher; as part of the recruitment process, active involvement in faculty, university, or institutional activities, as well as the level of English proficiency, will also be taken into consideration.
In the first stage of recruitment, 10 candidates will be selected and invited to online interviews.
